Set Up Samsung TizenPro 2024

- For TizenPro devices from 2024 -

Preparing The Device

Do you have the latest Samsung firmware version on your TizenPro device?

It is important that you install the latest firmware version on your TizenPro device to ensure an optimal display.

Please check this and update the firmware if necessary.

Then follow the installation instructions for the Samsung TizenPro device.

HOME Screen - Menu Language

Set your desired language on your device. Use the arrow keys on the remote control.

After making your selection, press the Enter key →  on the remote control.

Network Connection

You have two options to connect your Tizen device:

LAN (cable connection) or W-LAN (Wi-Fi).

→ Choose LAN.
Then press the Enter key → .

or

→ Select W-LAN.

Then press the Enter key → and enter the appropriate Wi-Fi key using the remote control via the display keypad.

If you have made an incorrect entry, press the Return button on the remote control to return.

Data Protection

Read the privacy notice in detail or skip it.

Select → OK or → Skip.

Press the Enter key → .

Installation Type

To connect the software cloud, select the Manual Setup menu item.

Then press the Enter key → .

Display Orientation

Align the display of the device in the desired output format.

Use the arrow keys on the remote control.

Confirm with the Enter key → .

Player Selection

Here, choose → Custom App.

Confirm with the Enter key → .


The following overlay input window opens.

Enter your download link to the player app using the remote control or a USB keyboard: https://Your Domain/tz

Now use the arrow keys on the remote control to go to → Go.
Press the Enter key → .
Then go to → Next.
Press the Enter key → again.

If you have URL problems, please contact your support.

Server Connection

Here, choose → Skip.

Confirm with the Enter key → .

Auto Power Off

Deactivate the Auto Power Off of the device by selecting the → Off (recommended) option.
To do this, use the arrow keys on the remote control of your device. Confirm your selection with the Enter key → .

Time Set

Set the current time and the current date on the device.
This process is crucial for the connection to the server.
Got to → Next.
Confirm with the Enter key → .

Set PIN

Here you can create a PIN to control the security settings.
Enter your desired PIN twice.
Go to → Next.
Confirm with the Enter key → .

You can also skip this option. Use the arrow key on your remote control to go to → Skip. Confirm with the Enter key → .

Download Player

Select the → Custom App icon.

Confirm with the Enter key → .

Installation

The player will be installed automatically. After successful completion, you should see an activation code and QR code generated for you on the display. See the following section.

Activation

The player is now installed. Now connect your player to the Cloud Software.

To do this, use one of the following two options:

Activation Via Mobile Device| QR Code:

1. Scan the QR Aktivation Code on the monitor. 
2. Enter your username and your password → Login.
3. Enter the device information → Name of the device = mandatory field.
4. Assign an existing playlist or create a new playlist.
5. Save your entries.

Aktivation Via Your Cloud Account | Activation Code:

1. Log in to your Cloud Account.
2. Open the Device Management.
3. Clicken on the → +Device  function in the bottom bar. 
4. Enter the name for the player → name of the device = mandatory field.
5. Enter the Activation Code in the field under Code.
6. Save your entries.

Time Setting In The Cloud Software

The time setting in the Cloud Software is important for the time control of the playlists and especially for the automatic changeover of summer and winter time based on the time zone.

1. To do this, click the pencil icon of the corresponding Samsung Tizen device in the Cloud
    Software under → Devices. The time zone "Europe/Berlin" is set there by default.

2. Go to the → Settings area and open the selection menu under → Time zone to select
    another time zone.

3. Click on → Save.

Note:

Modifications to the time zone and also the modification on the day of the time change will only be applied after the app has been restarted.
